About Les Bouchons

Les Bouchons is a former 17th century horse farm, the main house and barns have been restored with thought and care for your comfort and sit within an acre of land that features a 12m x 5m pool. The pool is shared by 2 Gites – Le Petit Bouchon and Le Grand Bouchon and the grounds provide plenty of seating for private outdoor eating and relaxation.

Les Bouchons is idyllically positioned within the Dordogne region of France. Set in the village of Parcoul, this tranquil hamlet enjoys a village shop, restaurant/bar, butcher and post office.

The two-luxury self-catering Gites are bursting with characterful features, think; exposed natural stone work, authentic beams, rustic yet contemporary, spacious yet cosy and with characterful flourishes throughout. There is one guarantee, once you’ve arrived you will find it hard to leave!

Guests are welcomed to pretty blooms adorning the gravelled courtyard, whilst the sweeping lawn behind them stretches down to the outdoor heated swimming pool at the far end of the garden. The lure of the swimming pool with its landscaped garden and sunbathing terrace will prove a big temptation. Spend long hot summer days beside the pool and take full advantage of the peaceful ambience. Dine Al fresco in your dedicated dining areas, signalling the close of another perfect day.

About Us

As a child and teenager, I spent many lovely long hot summers in the South of France at my parents’ house and my love for all things French was born.

I worked for 30 years in the hotel and leisure industry which is where my experience of hospitality shaped my dream of one day owning and running my own holiday business in France.

As they say, we often have life changing experiences and after losing my husband in 2013 I decided to bite the bullet and took the decision to make my dream a reality.

Even luckier for me, I met my new partner Ian who wholeheartedly bought into the idea and the plan was made to re-locate to France and start the business. Ian has a background in financial services within the housing sector which helped us understand the process of finding the right property.

So… September 2017 we arrived and started the arduous task of renovating three properties, building a swimming pool, and landscaping gardens.

It’s been exciting, fun, exhausting, hard work but we are now ready to share our lovely home with like-minded holiday makers.

We look forward to offering you a warm welcome in our place in the sun.

Rebecca and Ian

We have just spent a lovely relaxing few days here and I would highly recommend it. We arrived and were made to feel so welcome. Both houses are beautiful and spacious, the pool is (in my children's words) 'awesome', lovely seating area's outside to enjoy the sunshine and relax. Rebecca & Ian we can't thank you enough for a lovely stay - the children adored you both and we hope to come and stay again and for longer next time.
